Smashing Pumpkins Shrine

The Smashing Pumpkins started back in 1988 when Billy Corgan and James Iha began performing together. Soon D'Arcy turned the duo into a trio, and along came Jimmy Chamberlin to make the band a quartet.

In 1991, the Smashing Pumpkins released their debut album "Gish". Following Gish, in 1993, was "Siamese Dream" which contained hits such as "Disarm", "Today", "Cherub Rock" and "Rocket".

In 1994 they released an album of B-sides called "Pisces Iscariot". Then came the amazing double album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" ('95), which spawned hits like "Tonight, Tonight", "Zero" and "Bullet With Butterfly Wings".

After firing thier drummer, Jimmy, for drug related reasons, the band kept going and in 1998 they released their first album with out Jimmy, "Adore". "Adore" wasn't a big success compared to their earlier albums, but it was a success in terms of being a different sound than anything else in music at the time.

Currently, the now clean Jimmy Chamberlin has been re-hired and the new Smashing Pumpkins album is highly anticipated.
